CONGRATULATIONS to our own Father Dan Tantimonaco who was made an Honorary Canon at Convention this past weekend!
The proclamation that was presented from The Right Reverend Kirk Stevan Smith, Ph.D., Bishop reads: "Be it known to all the faithful that in recognition of devoted service to our Lord and the mission of the Church in the Diocese of Arizona, I today name Daniel Tantimonaco Honorary Canon of Trinity Cathedral and the Diocese of Arizona."
Father Dan received this honorary title in recognition for not only growing St. Paul's, but also for the work he has done on the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona's Standing Committee and in the community of Payson. Going forward, he will wear a cassock trimmed in purple piping and a purple band cincture. His title also becomes The Reverend Canon Daniel Tantimonaco.
(More photos from this presentation will be added later in the week.)
You are invited to join us for an event scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2017, starting at 9:30AM to introduce this new ministry in the Diocese.
We all optimistically embark on a new phase of our lives in our 50s as we begin to contemplate retirement and a whole new way of living. But this exploration of new ways continues into our 90s and beyond – seemingly ever changing. We want to spend some fellowship time with you considering what we want this second half of our lives to look like – and how God desires to enter into both the adventure and the challenges – and how we, as a community of faith, can share the journey together – perhaps deciding together on a variety of stage- and age-related activities and gatherings. We hope that you will join us to explore ideas for the St. Paul’s “family of sages”. We will spend two hours thinking and planning together followed by lunch together at 11:30. We hope to see you then.
Please RSVP to Marie Miller by emailing email@example.com or calling (928) 468-6292.

Bishop Smith came to our old Easy Street location yesterday to secularize the consecrated church building. Vestry members and wardens were in attendance. We will always remember our time at 1000 N Easy Street in Payson. So many memories!
