Saint Paul’s Adult Education 2012

Education begins with attraction. The objectives of our 2012 adult education program are part of our growth as a community and as a congregation.  We need to reach out to younger people to sustain our efforts to build and maintain a larger church.  Our Saint Paul’s vision includes preparation for the probability of an Arizona State University branch in Payson.
It has been agreed that we’ll follow the adult education guidelines which have emerged from regional and diocesan discussions.  The guidelines are posted on the web at www.azdiocese.org under the heading of “Programs and Ministries”.
The following curriculum has been reviewed by the Saint Paul’s adult education group. Each of the classes are scheduled for a period of six weeks with scheduling as necessary to accommodate other parish hall activities. Starting dates remain to be determined by an integrated calendar.

1.     March and April:  “The Ego-Less Self”, C. Nuckols, PhD, a book study and discussion to achieve healing, peace and tranquility.  Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m.

2.     June and July:  “Greatest Hits of the Bible”, a life study targeted for high school students as a precursor to an ongoing youth activity schedule.  Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m.

3.     July and August:  “Introduction to Personal Computers” Wednesdays,  10:00 a.m. until noon.

4.     September and October:  “The Green Bible”, intro by Bishop Tutu;  Wednesdays,  7:00 p.m.

These courses are supplemented by off campus discussion groups, seasonal studies between Sunday services and a developing program for children and early adolescents.  Thank you for your support of continuing adult education and our shared spiritual growth.
